The City of San Jose has a great Teacher Homebuyer program. If you are a full time teacher then you may qualify to defer payment for up to $40,000 at 0% interest, pay no more than 3% of the purchase price for either the down payment or closing cost, or you may even qualify to pay ntohing at all.
